This exhibition brings together seven international artists who first met during a residency in Kalbe, Germany.
Now Nina Dziwoki opens her city — Kraków — to the group.
We come together again, on new ground, in a place that is home to one and foreign to the rest.
This coming together is not only a framework, but also a subject.
Through different media and ways of working, we explore what it means to be together:
how a ‘we’ comes into being, what conditions it requires — and what, once we have gathered, separates us again.
Across languages, the word carries movement and intention within it. In Old English, tōgædere means going toward a common point. In German, zisamane once meant in one place. In Armenian, միասնություն holds the root մի — one — suggesting many becoming one through connection. And yet the Polish razem holds within it raz, meaning once — as if togetherness is not a condition but an event: something that briefly aligns and then dissolves. In Japanese, 一期一会 (ichigo ichie) names this precisely — this encounter, right now, will never come around again.
Over five days, the exhibition becomes a site of encounter: through artistic works, shared meals, and time spent together with visitors.
Togetherness is not a fixed state. It is something continuously made — through attention, through repetition, through the ordinary effort of showing up. What else? Maybe we will find out together.
