Yui Yamamoto

Yui Yamamoto is a Japanese artist based in the UK, working across performance, sound, installation and sculpture. Her practice investigates invisible signals in society: the social relationships, norms, and cultures that shape everyday life. By emphasising beings that normally do not have voices, her work explores the inner qualities of the oppressed, the passive and the unheard through time-based media. Her work has been presented internationally, including at Two Temple Place (London), Embassy Gallery (Edinburgh), Migration Museum (London), Platform residency (Vaasa, Finland), Home Live Art (Hastings, UK), and la cabine (Angers, France).
