Alanna Dongowski mainly works with drawing, writing and video. They are interested in all things uncertain and brittle. Their video safety play deals with love and naive expectations lovers can hold towards eachother. It was completed during a residency in Künstlerstadt Kalbe in 2025. All the sounds were recorded using found objects on site, and the footage stems from an earlier visit in Biesenthal, another village in rural Germany that invites artists to counter vacancy.
Alanna was born 2000 in Mönchengladbach, Germany, grew up in the Ruhr area and recently graduated weißensee kunsthochschule berlin. They are currently based in Essen and Berlin.
